No and no. There was a thread by twohoos around here that documented the differences. You can use the AP2 suspension in an AP1, and vice versa, but the spring rates and damping curves are different.

Side note: Since the perches are the same for all shocks, you can actually use *any* OEM spring (front or rear) on any *OEM* shock (front or rear). The damping performance might suffer, of course.
