AP1 Rear shocks AP2 Front Shocks Rides Funny
Does anyone know if the proportioning valves being different will affect the ride? I have ap1 rear shocks with 80k on the back and ap2 front shocks with 20k on the front and the back of the car feels super stiff and the front feels alot softer. Thoughts?

I don't know if anyone has published a shock dyno chart for the s2k shocks as they changed over the years.
But based on some info Honda gave, it's very reasonable to assume that the shock valving is different.
We know the ap2 front springs were stiffer than the ap1, and more than likely, the front ap2 shocks are softer so that the ride was not too rough.
And yes...different shock valving will definitely impact ride comfort and handling.

sweet, thanks for the response, i am going to switch out the backs for ap2 shocks as I have espiler springs on them. I'll post how it affects the ride characteristics!

Well I used to have AP1 front shocks and AP2 rear shocks on my AP2 with espelirs installed on em and the front is A LOT stiffer than the rear. I hated the setup tho... still handeled nicely but highspeed + bumps + turning wasnt fun, rear kinda hoped around a lot.
