nice man.
I would like a mild drop like this, but the talk of throwing off the suspension geometery with the lowered ride height has me hesitant. I would hate to loose the cornering pleasure and capabilities that the stock suspension offers. Have you noticed any thing different during hard driving?
Also, has anyone had the stock shocks fail earlier then the should due to this amount of drop?

the .25" difference has pretty much settled out by now.. it's non noticeable and the car drive great.
i seriously don't have any qualms about lowering my car in the manner i did

^^ I don't know about starspecs but i ran RE050 PP 225/255 setup and highly recommend staying with the 215 in the front. Just go with the 255 in the back. But that was on REO5O PP...Reason would be that the increased sidewall size on the 225 made the turn in feel a little sloppy(possibly due to those tires having a softer sidewall). It may work out for you with the starspecs, though...But you won't rub with the prokits if you increase the width.

Good thread. After having the s2k now for about 6 months, I've come to notice how much body roll the car has. I can't help but think that a slightly lower stance and stiffer springs would alleviate a lot of this. The catch of course is that I don't want the ride quality to suffer (it's already quite "rigid"/harsh at times due to the stiff durometer bushings and decent suspension).
How do you guys like the Eibach pro kit for daily driving compared to stock? I have thought about coilovers, but #1 they're not cheap, and #2, many seem to have VERY stiff spring rates (10kg/mm I believe it ~550lb/in, which I imagine would be really harsh for daily driving). I don't care about a "slammed" look, but just want to eliminate some of the body roll during hard cornering.
It's interesting, because when driving the wife's stock prelude, I'd swear the prelude sits lower stock than the s2k, and has less body roll. Anyone have any problems with ground clearance on the s2k w/ the pro kit?
Oh ya, one other thing.. Anyone w/ an Ap2 care to comment on how the springs affect the handling characteristics of the car (understeer/oversteer tendency)? I recall seeing the spring rates for the pro kit were substantially stiffer in the rear vs. the front, which would induce more oversteer. Sorry for all the questions..

Eibach springs were designed to work with the stock shocks and ride pretty nicely.
The main thing to know is to measure from the center hub to the fender on all 4 corners and have 13 inches between those...You are good to go.

Reason I ask is because I'm on the fence of either Swift or Eibach. I like the 1" drop of the Eibach, but Swift claims to have created their springs for stock shocks, or as they say "usable stroke".
Definitely looking for springs to reduce gap, increase handling on turns, and maintain closest to stock ride as possible.
Thanks in advance.
