Default Caster wouldn't adjust

Had my MY00 aligned after the coilover install and the caster on one side wouldn't go above 4.5*. Ether way he adjusted it yielded a drop, not a gain. The other side went to 6* no problem. Anyone ever have this issue before?

I had the same issue after running off the track and taking a jump off the rumble strips into the dirt -
its a bent/tweaked control arm/bushing

I had both upper and lower changed on that side that fixed it.. my bet would be the upper arm looking at the size of the lower it'd take a lot to bend

you don't strictly need that much castor (6+) the caster affects the steering feel and how fast the wheel wants to come back to center
It probably does some other stuff but really if you can get your toe/camber even and set the castor to 4.5 each side that might be fine for a street car.

Probably something is bent though you could get some weird toe/camber changes as the suspension moves

Same problem here after my hydroplane accident... they couldn't fully adjust the caster on one wheel. I actually forgot about it until now... glad I know what's up now haha.

Yeah I was ran off the rode last year and I put into a ditch pretty hard. They fix everything and the alignment went into spec, so I didn't worry about it. I guess I should start replacing stuff on that side.

I think its probably the side that won't go bellow 6 that is the problem - how low is the car and whats the camber set at?
