Default Cut Into Control Arm??

Hi everybody, I removed my front lower control arms and to do this I had to cut through the compliance bushing with a sawzall on one front lower arm. I removed the control arm and noticed I cut into the arm a bit.

I would like to know if this cut will affect the integrity of my control arm and if it should be replaced. I track my car so I want to be sure this will be safe. I am putting new mugen compliance bushings in.

I can't speak about the integrity but I would think it would be fine.

I can speak to the bushing. Make sure you clean up any sharp edge around the cut that touches the bushing. I had something similar and it was a paint to get the bushings back in. I almost ruined one because it started cutting into the bushing. Luckily I caught it before it did any real damage.

You're absolutely fine. I did the same thing when I was replacing my bushings and I haven't had any issues on the track of my alignment after I installed my poly bushings.

You're fine. Mine has tons of chisel marks in it...

Hey guys, I also noticed that I cut into the subframe a bit. Does anybody think this will be a problem?

You're good to go. Spray some paint on it to prevent rust.

Wouldn't hurt to blend it out but I wouldn't be concerned about the lack of material.
