Default Factory strut question

I know CRs have different spring rate from the rest of s2000(ap1,ap2)

I was wondering if they have same strut (shock)
I would like to get one ap1 strut and swap the spring with my CR spring and put it on my CR
I know they have different part numbers and I thought it was because different spring
please help. Thanks

I know that the part number is different for the CR shock from the regular '08-09 shock.

Different dampers. From what I've read much more firm and tuned to work with new spring rates. Might not work to switch non-cr damper. Search under cr suspension
