Default CR front spring & shocks

So I'm thinking about changing my front shocks and springs to those of the CR for my '01 ap1. The reason being is that my rear springs are already stiffer then those on the CR and I want to stiffen the front and run non-staggered wheels.

So the 2 questions I have, are the mounts and lengths the same for all years (this is what I have been told, but can't find any specifics) and are the shocks/strut needed or can I use the CR springs on my stock shocks/strut? I am assuming that I would need to swap them as well, because I assume (there's that nasty word again) that they change the valving to work better with the higher spring rates.

Anyone with some definitive answers please respond, and thanks in advance for the help.

People who have installed CR coilovers onto non-CR cars have reported slightly higher ride heights but otherwise no issues.

I don't know of anybody who has done only springs.
