Also, if someone could please elaborate, aren't the front rims bored slightly different from the rear rims? Something to do with the hubs.
Yes, the front & rear factory wheels are bored different.

FRONT 70.3mm
REAR 64.1mm

Why bring up this topic? Seems unrelated, unless you plan to purchase another set of OEM rear wheels for a square setup.
I noticed stress cracks on one of my front rims. I have a second pair of rear's and was thinking about using them myself.

I'd start by driving the car as-is and then disconnecting the sway bar to get a feel for both extremes. Personally, I don't want to give up grip anywhere, so I would try to balance things out by adding some neg camber in the rear if a big FSB doesn't fit in the equation.

Putting non-staggered wheels on is not "out-engineering" anyone/thing. It's addressing the same recipe that all car manufacturers have been using since the mid-late 80's to address shitty drivers--just make the car understeer like crazy. In fact, I think we're blessed Honda didn't make these cars pushier when compared to similar era european roadsters. Honda engineers knew what they were doing, their goals just aren't aligned with yours because they have a larger reputation at stake.

Because he said he was going to rotate the tires...
