Default HELP! Brake replacement

my s2000 has 40,000 miles on it, It has the origional OEM brakes adn they began to squeak would you recommend replacing both the pads and rotors or should the rotors still be fine? can i get away with just replacing the pads? please voice your opinion

Replace the pads, and machine the rotors.

How much friction material is on the pads? If it's more than the thickness of the backing plate, you might just try some antisqueal grease or goop on the backside of the pads.

Replacing rotors shouldn't affect squeaking/squealing.

I wouldn't bother having rotors turned. If they're thicker than the min. thickness, just leave them alone.

x2. couple bucks for the goop and you put it on. does wonders.
