The pro kit in my experience lowers the car not quite an inch, but close. They are about 20% stiffer then stock springs. When i didn't know any different i thought they were an improvement for what i was hoping for, which was to sharpen the handling further with a mild drop for a cheap price, so as far as that it does it well. The rear damping started becoming noticeably under dampened with mileage with this set up and just made the rear become less planted/bouncy and sketchy.

Agree for the street, the PSS9 would be a better quality ride.

The ones I recommended had mostly street use in mind. The ones suggested will ride as well, or better than stock with a 1" drop. My favourite option is the Bilstein.

Nothing wrong with prokits and stock shocks. It costs less for sure. Stock shocks run out of travel fast. So those pro kits will put you pretty close to the bumpstop. Not a huge deal. The bumpstops are fairly soft and the stock shocks are agressive enough to damp them.

But I'll wager that the Bilstein PSS and PSS9 will ride better and make the car more fun to drive.
Thank you again!!!

Thanks guys I think I have made my decision! Any recommended place to get the PSS9's from?

Thmotorsports. I believe they're a site sponsor. May offer s2ki discounts (not sure).

Call and talk to one of them

We certainly do offer our loyal S2Ki guys a discount. Bilsteins are currently on national backorder, but they're a great shock. ST is the same as a KW but without the stainless steel body, they're also cheaper and have a mail in rebate at the moment! This makes it one of the best values currently.

I believe the pistons in the shocks are these based on what I was told about the car https://www.penskeshocks.com/product...-linear-2-deg/ but unfortunately I have no build sheet or dyno and don't know who built them.

The car works really, really well on track with minimal changes as-delivered, but the setup is different than most people run so apparently it shouldn't work () I'd rebuild them myself if I knew what weight of oil was in them (rebuilt / reshimmed a lot of motorcycle forks / rear shocks so these seem just as easy)

edit: Apparently they were custom ordered by BlackWatchRacing and then revalved by them later on.
..

I pulled the OE shocks/springs and did all the full droop/full bump measurements of the suspension limits. Fred at Blackwatch detemined the best body and shaft lengths for a ride height range I wanted.
Revalve was done by Rob Rockefeller in Tucson. Check the Competition Forums on the STR suspension setups for Robs posts.

Front Shocks:
Compression = B stack with a preload of .008
Rebound = F- stack
Rear Shocks:
Compression = B+ stack, preload .007
Rebound = E- stack
