Default installed coilovers. Inner fender scrape and spring rate?

So I just installed my HKS hypermax gt coilovers. I’m really pleased with ride comfort and the handling seems a bit better as well.
I lowered the car about 3/4” overall. More like 7/8” on the passenger side to level it out. I love the look and couldn’t go any lower anyway because of my driveway. I’m on stock wheels and tires.
I went for my first spirited drive yesterday for about 150 miles. During that drive there were 3 occurrences of the tire scraping inside the front wheel well. These were all on some pretty crappy sections of road where I was turning to load that side of the suspension as well. I really don’t want to raise the car as I like it where it is.
My question is do higher spring rates prevent this? I mean do most of you guys with your cars lowered an inch plus have spring rates above 10k? I did have my dampers set at 10 clicks off hard. Maybe go stiffer in the front for spirited driving? Slightly under a 1 inch drop seems mild compared to what I read of most people doing. I’m just surprised to get scrape.

I have no clue what my ride height is against stock but I also have Hipermax IV GT.

I have no rubs on bumps, with stock AP1 wheels and with various other wheels.

What wheels and tires are on the car?

Do you have a photo of where it is scraping?

It may just be the "flaps" at the front that are scraping the road. Are you sure its tire-to-liner scraping you're hearing?

He is running stock wheels and tires.

How much camber are you running? And as mentioned, are you certain it is rubbing where you mentioned, aka do you see marks where it is rubbing?

I have 750/600 rates on mine right now with 17x9's and 255's (+63mm offsets) and the front fenders rolled. Lowered approx 1" and -2.6 deg of camber. So not a great comparison to your setup.

This sounds like a more likely cause of the noise to me.

If its the stock wheels and tires, then, by design, it would be massively unlikely for it to be the tires rubbing the fender liner.

Its probably the flaps. Those things had a tendency to rub even on stock suspension cars.

Flaps is the scientific term, before you ask.

Good point. I didn't think of that. Could very well be. It isn't harsh or cringe inducing so maybe I'll just chalk it up to that? Those things are pretty low and it wouldn't take much to scrape them on some of the awkward dips in corners where I experienced the rub.

Yeah, thanks again. I should've thought of that. Those things are so low. I've only lowered the car 3/4" so I didn't expect any complications from the fender wells. I haven't had it aligned yet so I figure the camber has increased a good but from stock height. I'll be getting it aligned later this week.
