J's Racing 6IX vs Spoon Monoblock vs Yellow Speed BBK
Hello guys,
After closing the Mugen Intake deal time to consider my next mod
My current wheel setup Volk CE28N
Front: 17x7.5 +43
Rear: 17x9 +63
I already upgraded my brake setup with DS2500 and Steel Lines. The car is braking well but I believe there is room for improvement plus the Bling Bling Style factor
Spoke with a local dealer and the options possible are
J's Racing 6IX
Spoon Monoblock
Yellow Speed BBK (Must purchase from UK)
AP Racing (Too expensive )
In your opinion, to a limit of 1800$ what BBK would you install in our S2000 for trackday / cruise use? I searched a lot but no feedback regarding the J's 6IX. Anyone has this setup?
Thank you guys!

I've personally never heard of Yellow Speed, so I cant comment on that. But as far as the J's Racing 6IX and Spoon calipers, since they still use oem sized front brake rotors, I dont see the benefit other than looking nicer. Sure, the caliper itself will dissipate some heat, but if you are going with a "BBK" I would think the main purpose would be for more functionality. For street use, I dont see why our front brakes wouldnt be adequate enough. Plenty of other guys I track with are still on oem front calipers just using more aggressive pads/ducting. Closing to the $2k mark, I would be purchasing AP Racing brakes or Stoptechs.

Check for kits for sale from U.K. distributors. Because of the exchange rate, some stuff is cheap right now.
I was sourcing a KSport BBK and could get it new, shipped from U.K. for $1200.
That said, you can occasionally find deals on StopTech kits for $1500. That's the route I'd go.
