i run mid 1:25's at Streets of Willow full CW course with my megan/apexi (same coilover) coilovers.....

track/driver experience > expensive coilovers

i've ran these for over 4 years on 2 cars that both saw track duty...never had a problem.

The megan and BC racing coilovers perform quite a bit worse than stock, where the KWs are better.

What are your goals? if you want to lower the car on the cheap, get PSS9s. They are fantastic.

In my experience, there is one area where you shouldn't skimp. It's the where the money is best spent. The KW Variant 3 is in a different league compared to the other dampers listed. We have these in stock if you are interested.

Cheers,

I don't see the KW's & price on your site.

I think the point of that comment was that the consistency of the shock is important.

You will get a compression/rebound consistency on KW/PSS9/OEM.

Megan, BC i'm not too sure since I haven't seen a independent dyno shock.

When I say consistency I mean that if you put all four megan coilovers on and dial them all to 10 (medium), all four will not have the same level of compression and rebound, each coilover will have a different rebound/compression from each other.

Unless you see a dyno graph you won't know for sure.

that may very well be true, but if anyone is worried about that then i hope you're getting your car corner balanced/aligned on a regular basis as well.

for my daily driver/track day car entry level coilovers from a reputable company work just fine.

if you're building a serious track/race car then i would have a different opinion.

i have passed many people on the track with more expensive setups and way more expensive cars....

as it stands an entry level coilover is fine for 95% of s2k owners that can't take the car to the limit anyways.....don't equate lack of driving skill for lack of car campaibility.

I am very happy with my megan streets. I have auto-crossed and tracked them and have enjoyed them. That being said, If I were to do it again I would go with the tein and the edfc so I could control them without ripping out my trunk every time.

What about H&R coilovers? I had them on my 3 series and Vw and they were amazing. Nice smooth ride without being bumpy. But when as soon as you take a corner it stiffins up really nicely.

Has anyone tried H&R on their s2k
