Need help disassembling tein coilover
I'm trying to replace the springs on my Tein Comfort Sports with shorter springs from Swift. I can't get the top nut off of the strut. It just spins and spins and spins. Is there any trick to getting this off? I don't have access to an impact wrench.
Thanks. I'll give this a shot tonight. I might have a line on an impact gun I can borrow later this week if this doesn't work.
PS - I got a call back from Evasive (where I bought my Swift springs), there was a mistake about the stock of Swift springs and they don't have them. However, they did have the exact same spring from Tein for $117 cheaper! FYI to anyone looking for 65mm I.D. springs...

Why not keep it simple and use a box end wrench?
It's difficult to apply force using a crowfoot wrench whilst holding the shaft steady with the other hand. If you're hard set on using a crowfoot, I recommend a flare type crowfoot to mitigate any collateral damage on the nut.
