Hey everyone, this is my first time buying coilovers and i've found a set of HKS Hipermax III used on ebay for 1400. I wanted to see what you guys think about it, is it worth it?

That doesn't seem like that great of a deal. For about $125 more you can have a brand new set of Fortune 500's with swift springs and custom spring rates. Or you could probably find a used kW v3 setup for about $1800.

Depending on mileage it can possibly be a ok deal. I love mine so far but haven't gone to the track since I installed them.

Yea i've done a little more research and i think i should just pay a bit more and get something brand new

I would put in an offer (if possible) and low-bid him by a few hundred. Remember these things retail for over $2k if you can still find them new. That said, you'd probably want to have those rebuilt which can be done for $100 per shock. If you could snag them for $1k you could have a like-new set for less than $1.5k.
