Default Question for KW V3 owners

I've had mine installed for a while now and I'm having ride height discrepancy from driver side to passenger side. According to the manual, the front will have to be between 13.2" and 14.2" and the rear is 8.5" to 9.4" when you measure it from the top of the lower ring to the center of the bolt that mounts to the lower control arm.

I've set the fronts to 13.75" and the rear to 8.5" respectively. Now the weird thing is that front passenger side is around .25" higher and rear driver side is close to .5" higher compared to their counterparts. I've driven the car for a while now.

If I were to make the rear ride height equal from driver to passenger side, the rear driver side coils will be way beyond what KW recommended lowest setting. The front are not much of an issue when I lower the passenger side about 2 turns and both front coils are still KW specs.

I'm wondering you guys have encountered such issues with the coils. I have KW V3 on my IS-F and I don't have that issue. Thanks for your inputs.

It's funny, cause I've noticed something similar to this with my V3s. And I've also noticed some other threads around the boards referring to this.

Not sure what it is, but I have noticed my ride height to change in the rear from time to time. Not much, but maybe like 1/8" from side to side. I don't know if KWs are just extremely sensitive to how they settle or what.

Maybe the spring perch is getting a little loose and working it's way around?

On the coilovers I had on my Sti (Racecomp T2's which are custom KW V3') they actually have two bottom spring perches even though you really only need one. I suspect it's to help make sure the height can't change.

Well, for me, it's not an issue as to the car continuing to go lower. Each corner just seems to be different from another every so often. Even in my garage where it is perfectly level.

This is interesting. I'll drive around a bit more before I do any more adjustments.

So are your coil heights pretty close from driver to passenger side? On mine, the passenger side is about 0.25" lower to make the ride even in the front.

However, in the rear, the passenger side coil is close to 0.5" higher and it's still lower than my driver side. I don't want to lower the driver side since it's already at the lowest recommended coil height.

You should just get the car corner-balanced (w/ your weight in the drivers seat), that will solve the problem.
