Hey nemesisryder0627, great write up man! I wanna ask you something, and forgive me if this is a dumb question but I really have no idea..

Can you use the factory-sized pads on the Brembo kit, or do you gotta go with something bigger too?
No question is a dumb question. From what I have learned about this kit so far is they are larger than oem pads. The caliper that is used is also used in the lotus brembo kit so it is a different caliper then a sti or evo. Since I haven't changed pads yet I haven't looked into what exactly will be needed. I'll be sure to update this thread with that info once I find out exactly which pads you need to order and what options are out there.
These calipers are same as the Brembo A/C/F Family calipers so your pad choices are very good. When you're looking to purchase pads, just say that the pads are for Brembo Lotus and any shop should be able to help you with it.

This is very different than a brembo big brake kit. From my knowledge of this mod you need a 7.5 mm spacer behind your rotor to get it to align properly with the caliper. I believe the 17x8 should clear the caliper no problem since it isn't a concave face and it's being pushed out from the spacer behind the rotor.

Thanks for the information. The previous owner(jack-in-the-box) milled the caliper so the rotor aligns properly with the caliper. That's good news that my rims will fit.

Hello,

i have now the VOLK TE37 17x7.5 +40 wheels in front. Is there any brake upgrade i can do without using spacers? i don't want to add rotating weight to the car...
i would buy a brake kit or a BBK, but don't know which one would clear...

Thanks

I was browsing my Tire Rack Wholesale account and noticed this brake kit was still sold but very little info is out about them.
