So, did they see the issue with the e-brake cable routing? Any word on a fix?

Last I've heard now is that SBG has seen the issue but isn't interested in fixing it. So I guess buyer beware anyone with an AP2 who's planning to order this kit. Pretty disappointing that they're still selling it as-is, knowing it won't fit properly, not to mention not supporting existing customers.

Guess this is why you should talk to Riley Racing about his kit if you are looking at getting these.

Are you able to just take a cutoff wheel and cut that gusset off? Or just mod their bracket to work around it?

I've got it slung up there with a thick zip tie for now. Don't really want to cut the gusset. The bracket could probably be bent and trimmed to fit, although I don't personally have the tools. I just feel like since sbg has seen the problem and are still selling the kit, the simplest thing would be for them to create a new bracket that actually fits.

I tried modding their bracket unsuccessfully, it's too thick in a tight area to begin with.

I ended up making my own out of some scrap(thinner) sheet metal I had.

This is kind of bullshit for such an expensive conversion kit.....Revising the bracket shouldn't be much of an issue.....I'd like to see SBG post in this thread. @SakeBomb Garage

Hey guys, just got the mention and wanted to post in the this thread. We had our customer with an AP2 come into the shop, to check on the issue and found that every worked as intended.

This leads us to believe that there is a smaller subset of cars (maybe ap2v2 or Canadian model) That has some slight variance but as you can see below the bracket fits and is placed properly. Since this is just secondary mount for the e-brake cable, honestly, a zip tie will suffice. It's strange that we have sold so many of these kits but only 1 or 2 people have contacted us with a fitment issue on certain chassis. We've attached a picture of mount placement on an AP2 below.

Thank you for replying and posting that picture. For what it's worth, I sent you multiple unanswered emails over the past several weeks before updating this thread.

It looks like what you've done there is tacked the mount on top of the stock mounting location rather than through it (you can see the stock mounting slot underneath) so that it can be twisted upward to avoid the gusset. That's a good (and rather obvious, in hindsight!) idea. I'll give it a try next time I'm under the car.
