Hello suspension gurus. Im sending this from my phone since my work internet is down so I apologize if this ends up being horribly formatted.

In an attempt to get a more accurate response, Im going to give you all of the information that I can think of that may be related. I drive an 01 with a few minor modifications. The car drove fine until I swapped in struts from an 08 car. One of my struts went bad and I got a good deal on some 08 struts so i pulled the trigger. Im currently running 255s rear and 225s front, if thats of any use. Im also lowered with an Eibach ProKit, which I chose because they had similar spring rates to an AP1. They drove fine for me on my 01 struts. I seem to understeer pretty poorly now ever since I installed the 08 struts and I dislike the way it handles now. Is there anyway that i can take advantage of my Frankenstein suspension, or should i pick up some new struts or springs? Unfortunately Im unable to purchase coilovers so thats out of the question.




Also, ever since I bought the car two and a half years ago, Ive had a pretty obnoxious clunking noise as I go over speedbumps or down a bumpy road. Any idea what that could be. My mechanic took a peek but didnt see anything out of the ordinary.

Sway bar end links for the clunk. Did u get an alignment? Don't half ass....the result will be the same

 

Yes I got an alignment. Im not trying to half ass and I was really happy with my springs. Im just not happy with the springs and 08 struts. And thanks on the sway bar stuff. Ill have my mechanic take a look.
