Thumbs up Modulo Sport Suspension Questions

Hi, I have an 08 S2000 and I was wondering if anyone could answer some questions about the Modulo Sport Suspension offered by Access Honda.

Were these designed for the AP1?
Have they updated it since for the AP2?
Does anyone know if these specs are accurate? It's the only info I found on them after hours of searching frown.gif

Specs are:

* -10mm lower ride (fixed)
* 5.1kg/mm front 6.8kg/mm rear springs
* 5 step combined compression/rebound adjustability at the front so that you can tune over/under steering handling characteristics

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...owtopic=125335

Will this lower an AP2 by 10mm as well?

According to an OEM spring rate thread. The 2008 OEM rates are 284 (5.07 kg/mm) front and 299 (5.33 kg/mm) in the rear. This is not much different than the Modulo specs if this it is accurate.

Should I purchase the suspension or just stay stock? Suggestions?

Can anyone help pleaes?
Thanks

if the differences are so small, it doesnt even seem worth the money
plus you wont even notice 10mm of drop haha

just save for a coilover or shock/spring setup thats been done ya know

Why don't you consider CR suspension? At least you know it was designed with AP2 geometry in mind. If you're interested in suspension for looks (see above), ignore this post.

Hello all,

First of all sorry for coming back to this old thread but maybe somebody can answer. Does anyone know the spring rates for the Modulo suspension for the AP2? Since the data in the OP are for the old Modulo AP1 suspension. I mean the suspension under this link: http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCESS/s2000/...talog_0810.pdf

And almost as important, does anybody know if the dampers housing is aluminium or steel? In other words, doe it reduce unsprung weight?

Thank you.

Yes I'm pretty sure these are the standard OE Showa shocks/springs, just with unique specs. From the kit's part number (08W60-S2A-000) it looks like they didn't change it for the AP2 --probably because they're adjustable anyway-- so the 285F/380R rates are probably correct.
