FurY, try contacting Haroon either by pm or his email. I don't know that he's on here that often.

Any install pics yet?
|
I clear coated mine today. Put about 4 very heavy coats of crystal clear enamel (rustolium). Prepped with Windex. It removed some of the silver. I think it might be sharpie marker.
|
That's a shame.
|
Just be careful when degeasing/prepping for clear coat. I was able to go back over the silver areas with a fine silver sharpie. Then I sprayed a very light coated of clear to seal the colors, before applying the heavy coats of clear.
|
I will follow your advice jetguy.................... I haven't cleared mine yet, was that the only area on the plaques that you had an issue with?
|
That was the first to show up. I was more cautious once I saw the silver wipe off.
If you guys have Facebook, I have posted my pics of the install on s2k talk & tech . Not sure how to post pics on here from my phone. |
|
|
That looks fantastic !
|
Ugh I need to stop being lazy and install mine!
They look really good. I mocked mine up in my car and really liked them. They are clean and subtle, but also draw your eye in towards them. |
jetguy
I really like your CF door sills too. Where did you get those from? |

Thanks guys! I still Need to figure out where to put the last little plaque. I made the cf sill myself. It is just shinny 3m di-noc (ahhh don't tell anyone) my sills were pretty scuffed up and I think the cf look really adds to the exotic look!

I really like the look especially with the new CF sill plates. Perfect combo. |

If you like the Custom CR armrest, contact JPM Coachworks in Smyrna, Georgia.
They did mine too, and a matching Alcantara shift boot. |
Yeah, JPM. Does great work and a really nice car enthusiast.

I just wanted to take a moment and publicly thank Haroon for providing this service to us. I know I had expressed interest in a badge a while back and others had too... it was difficult to find someone who could help us with this task and Haroon did a great job stepping up to the plate. Thank you to Adam and others who worked with Haroon to set this up also.
I finally got my badge yesterday after my first one went missing due to no fault of Haroon's. He was quick to help me out and take care of me which I greatly appreciate. He is definitely a valued asset to the S2000 community  Thanks again to Haroon and everyone else who helped with this! |
+1 here for Haroon, and his making these fantastic plaques available to the CR community.

Is there a trick to taking out the original plate?
|
jetguy, that's a great looking interior. Your CF treatments look very clean, and I love the CF Batsymbol.
I stuck one of my small badges on the radio door. Your photo makes me wish I had procrastinated, as I usually do. https://i1052.photobucket.com/albums...psftpzv3cd.jpg |
Loon did a great job on these. I decided not to purchase after some considerable thought. After seeing them installed I just wasn't digging the look. Nothing wrong just me being picky. I'm glad everyone is enjoying them.

Truthfully I'm struggling on where to put the badge and still have it look clean/original/OEM. The interior on these cars is already so clean and simplistic that I feel like every place I consider it looks slapped on. I absolutely love the badge though and didn't want to miss the opportunity to have one. I'll find a place I'm good with soon... right now just under the latch on the glovebox, centered is still leading for me.

I also like the windscreen placement the best.
How are guys getting your door cill plates off? Just prying them off? I am nervous about breaking or bending them. |
Has anyone put clear bra or clear coat on theirs yet? I don't see mine staying as nice as they are now with all the action my car sees.

Anyone have any more install pictures for placement ideas for the small plate. I'm still trying to decide where to put mine.
|
I had a member message me to inquire as to whether the badges and cill plates are still available to order. I can still make them.
I am open to suggestions with regards to redesigning the interior badge to another size/shape so that it will look more factory fit when installed. |

Hello fellow CR owners. The idea of having a custom/unique identifier (plate/plaque) for our beloved CR's has come up multiple times on these forums over the years. We usually are able to drum up interest, and have had some good discussions about what we all would want. Ultimately we have never been able to make progress and get anything made. We usually fall short when it comes to finding a vendor or person that has the ability to take on the custom project.
Here is a past thread about some ideas we all had: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/987...es-for-in-car/ The other day I saw a post that was made by a UK member about custom carbon fiber door sill inlays that he created for the 15th Anniversary of the S2000...which got me thinking these would be PERFECT for the CR. The UK member has agreed to help us out and create custom CR door sill inlays. This thread is absolutely not a FOR SALE THREAD. This is also not for a business or for profit, just a couple S2000 owners trying to help each other out. I spoke with Mocky and cleared this post and its intent with him. ="4"%Ordering details.
Details about the product.
