Default Fan Switch

Ok guys I need a hand here. My brother has an '08 CR and ordered a mugen fan switch from Speedstar.
The part number is correct but the switch doesn't fit? Are the fan switches on CR's different than other S2000's?
Our mechanic said the plug for the CR switch is square where as the mugen one is round???? Speedstar doesn't know???

Thanks

Ok, I'm going to ask, why a Mugen Fan switch? It's not like the rest of the dash is Mugen.

I think it's a switch to turn the radiator fan on at a lower temperature. Are you sure that it's supposed to work with the stock thermostat on the S2000? The Mugen fan switch seems to require a matching Mugen low-temp thermostat, I'm pretty sure after 10 seconds of using the Google.

Makes sense now. Except for the expense involved for a minor mod.

He installed the mugen low temp thermostat also. We know they go together. Also it doesn't take long to install them and
are very effective at keeping engine temps down at the track.

Probably because it's not for a 2006+ car and for 00-05 car.
