Default Mugen Fan Switch

Just a quick question, I was thinkin of getting the Mugen Fan Switch with the Mugen Thermostat. On King Motorsports the Mugen Fan Switch says its for (2004-2008) 2004-2005 only...... I happen to have an 2006, what is the reasoning for 2004-2005 only?

The 2006+ models years do not use a radiator fan switch. Starting in 2006, the fan switch was replaced by a coolant temperature sensor that relays information back to the ecu for radiator fan control.

ok now I'm really confused. Just got an e-mail back from King Motorsports and here it is.

Hi Mike-

This is an error on our website. I just checked and all the S2000’s have the same part number fan switch. So the Mugen fan switch will fit your 06.

Sorry for the confusion.

Best Regards,

Scott

Now my S2k isn't in my possession yet so I can't verify this. Has anyone else come across this situation?

They are wrong. The factory service manual is my source. If you need me to prove it, I'll take some pics.

ok thanks guys, I followed up with a friend who works at a Honda dealership. He showed me the service manual for radiator fan switch repalcement. It said for the years of '00-05.

I'm going to send King Motorsports an e-mail letting them know that there site is right.
