S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

How far did you go for your CR?

I ordered mine in 2007. Took 4 months and came in to Santan Honda. 6 miles for where I lived. I was called earlier than scheduled on Christmas eve. Since I had family in town for the holidays I couldn't pick up the car for about a week. The Sales manager was nice enough to keep it locked in a private delivery bay. No one touched it. Intact I was the first one to drive it off the lot and fill the tank up with gas. The new car smell lasted for months since i never used it as a DD. Pretty cool.

Yeah the other funny thing the manager told me was that almost all the customers that would come in to sign paperwork wanted to see the car. I guess the car was in a private bay that had a clear window that you could view the car. I wish I had taken a picture. The manager told me that he got tired of telling people that he could not do that and that the owner did not want anyone touching the vehicle. When I picked it up I had at least 4 employees that wanted a ride in the car. It didn't even have gas at that point. They took good care of me. I had a good buying experience. Even today I go in to the dealership once in a while and one or two employees will recognize me and ask if I still have the CR. To which I reply "heck yeah."
