Default Repainted S2000 CR

Hey Guys,

Wanted to get some advice on this scenario. There's a independent dealer in my state (NJ) that's selling a relatively good condition Berlina Black S2000 CR with AC/radio (think #46) with low modification, single exhaust and a K&N FIPK last year that I was somewhat interested. The Carfax shows one owner also. I did go in person to take a look and while I was there they also had a Apex Blue Pearl that I saw some other people looking at. Anyways, fast forward a year later and I was poking around the dealer's webpage still saw an Apex Blue S2000 CR in their showroom that hasn't moved. I went through the pictures they had of it and it looked awfully familiar to the Berlina Black S2000 they had a year ago (had the same mods). I cross referenced the VIN from the dealer to the S2000 CR chart on the FAQ on S2ki and found that it was the same Berlina Black I was looking at last year but repainted Apex Blue... I have a feeling the dealer is trying to pull a fast one but I'm still interest and maybe I could get a good deal. How much would this affect the asking price on the car?

it should devalue the car about 15-20% off its collector's value

Thanks. Think it'll also knock off around the same for what they're asking for?

I would present with them with the fact that this car was Berlina Black and it being a CR, it shed its collector value.

If you're speaking of brilliance auto. Which I'm pretty positive you are, I bought the APB you saw from them last year. That dealership is the absolute worst. Sheisters, thieves, and morons. Stay far, far, away.

ah! you were the one. I went there to check out APEX blue last year but they said it was taken just a day before. I guess too many people asked about apex blue and not many for black. congrats on your ABP CR and hope you are enjoying it.

I probably saw you there last year. Would like to grab that CR from them even though they pretty much destroyed the collector's value of it but I agree they are shady as hell.

How's your APB holding up?

Let's use the existing thread on that car to keep all the data consolidated

The paint job wasn't done well at all. My guess is it will devalue it substantially more than 20%.
