about to purchase a spoon top, wonder if I have to sell my tonneau or not.

Prob not since you keep your soft top with that top and the tonneau cover replaces soft top.

I dont know how the tonneau cover mounts but the spoon top has these brackets in the back that may interfere. The side mounts also differ from the oem/mugen mounting.

You would have to notch 2 places in the tonneau for that top to fit with it based on those brackets AE_Racer posted. Personally I would just take off the tonneau and leave it in one piece. Set it aside in case you decide the hard top isn't for you, then you still have it and can put it back on. If after some time you're good to part with it, then you've got money in the bank

Personally speaking the OEM top looks better and fits the CR without any major modifications. I guess if you are without the OEM top, the Spoon would be the best alternative.

I dont have a cr, but I have the tonneau. At this point I would rather the spoon top over the tonneau. Soon I will be listing a CR tonneau that fits a HARDDOG roll bar for sale.
