Default OEM Hardtop + Tonneau Cover

For those of you who have OEM hardtops, has anybody tried to put the tonneau cover on the soft-top to give the view in the rear window a bit of a cleaner look? I would try it myself but I don't want to take the whole hardtop off only to find out that it won't fit .

PS: If this is in the wrong section feel free to move it.

the CR tonneau cover fits there under the hardtop. i imagine the leather cover would as well.
please post up with what you find because i find the CR cover is FUGLY and would love to replace it with something more low key.

I'm sure there are plenty of people that would love to swap their tonneau cover for your CR cover .

I had to cut my OEM Tonneau cover to fit my Shine Hardtop.

BTW - if you want to put an OEM HT on a CR - make sure the softtop bumpers are not on the HT. They are missing on the CR top so an OEM with them will not fit and will scratch the CR ferring if you put it on.

We found this our first hand a few weeks back.

No you can not put the toneau on under the hard top. The part that extends next to the seat would be in the way.

The OEM one wont work. I bought an aftermarket soft boot and it does fit with a little folding under my hard top. I am out of town right now, so I don't have the brand, but I think it was the only one available in the US at the time I bought it a year or so ago. It looks much better than the peice of felt I used to put over the top when I installed the HT.
