Default **Audio help**

S2000 Audiophiles,

I'm working on increasing my system and it's capabilities. I replaced the stock head unit with a Sony MEX-BT3800U (with Modifry's wired DCI) and changed out the door speakers with Polk db651S 6.5 slims.

These upgrades made a huge improvement over the stock setup for sure. However, it still seems pretty lacking. Like the sound quality WOULD be good but it's not. I intend in a few months to add a 10"sub (with amp) but in the meantime, my local shop is recommending upgrading the tweeters and adding an amp (400W/2ch).

Will this make a significant difference in the quality/fullness of the system? Especially with the top down? Will it make a seamless transition down the road when I add a sub w/amp?

They use PowerBass brand (Autosound line) equipment which looks pretty good but I'm unfamiliar with their produect --- does anyone have it in their S2K or have experience with the brand? I'm guessing then that the amp is a PowerBass ASA 400.2x and am unsure about which tweeters...

Thanks for your time,
Guapo
