Default 2 Quick Questions, Little Help Needed

Ok, I got everything set up the way I want... the amp that is. Ran the power through the pass side kick guards, got the grounds, rca's... and now here are my questions:

1) how the hell do you remove the center console where the secret door is and the glove compartment? I took all the screws out, the panels are out and the arm rest and everthing else is off. However I can't get that compartment panel off! I'm running my RCA's through there.

2) for my remote on/off to the amp. I have an Alpine headunit and just wanted to make sure that I run the remote on/off from the amp directly to the receiver's harness (in my case the blue/white wire). Is this correct?

Thanks mofo's.

2. I'd have to look up the wire color to be sure that's right, but it sounds like it is.

1. You shouldn't have to remove the glove box/secret compartment part of the interior. You can usually get wires from the dash, through the tunnel, and to the trunk by removing the center console cover and the plastic panels behind the seats. I ran my RCA's the same way. Taking out the glove box part is a MAJOR hassle.

I have a pdf document on my web site (for a different project) that describes removing the console cover and fishing a wire through the console and up under the radio. That should help with the front part of the wire run.

You can remove the vent panel behind either seat and from there can fish a wire into the trunk space by the gas tank or spare tire. To get to the tunnel, you can just remove the front screws on the glove box center part (the ones that go into the tunnel) and slip the wires under the bottom curved edge of the glove box housing and work them around from the vent panel area to the tunnel. There are some photos here showing the rear panel removed behind the seat.

Hope that helps.
