Which wires can run along the console?
Considering the amount of heat around the console area, are there certain wires that shouldn't be run there? The wires that I'll need to run eventually are: turn-on lead for amp, RCA from head to amp, power to amp, speaker wires from amp to doors. Which of these, if any, would be OK along the console?

If the heat ever gets hot enough to burn the insulation off of a wire, watch out, because your carpet is about to burst into flames! Generally I try to stay away from the center console due to the high noise environment created by spinning metal inside, but if I had to choose, I'd say power would be the least problematic. Send the RCAs down the sides of the car (under the door sills)...same with the speaker wires.
RCAs, speaker wire and remote on (oppositie signal wires) are fine down the center console. Run the power from the battery along the right side of the car (if you running bigger than 8 gauge its too thick to run down the center).
You can run all wires, no problems. Just not the power, if you could avoid it. There is actually a heat shield there under the console leather, just make sure the wires are above the shield and not under it.
