Default 2002 2-way door speaker upgrade worthwhile?

I just installed Lucid's 5.25 3-way rear speakers with the OEM radio and the sound is about 80%better.

I am happy with the improved sound and am wondering how much further improvement would be possible with a replacement of the two way in the doors, (and leaving the Honda tweeter in),....with no amp, sub, and staying with OEM head unit.

Has anyone lived with the Lucid rear 3-ways for a while, and then upgraded the 2 ways in the doors in a 2002? How much added improvement could I expect? Thanks.

I'm still waiting for the rear speakers (same as yours) and some 2 way splits from Lucid. Once I install them I'll let you know.
From past experience it'll make a huge difference with the splits in front. It's the only way to go with front speakers if you want full colour of sound. Treble is directional, so I don't see the point NOT having separate tweeters pointed at your ears!

If you remember, and it works out, how about listening to it after the rear install and before the door replacements and then with the door speakers replaced. That will help me decide if I want to add the door speakers or not. Thanks.

Thanks.

I was at the Honda dealer showing him some imperfections on my 2 month old car. The hard plastic door covers near the bottom of the door had some very light blue spots. My interior is darker blue. He asked if I had been installing door speakers as they looked like stress marks to him. Luckily I had not....yet. As I plan on an upgrade to the door speakers, is this problem very common or was he grasping for ideas? Both doors had 4-8 dots of various sizes. He also is getting a new leather seat cover for the drivers side. One small side section looks like 15 year OLD leather....very strange.

At least my first experience was good, no excuses and he has ordered all replacement parts.

BTW, I just installed a Passport 8500. The directions here at the forum S2000.org were top notch.
