2004 Taillight Conversion Wiring

I just spoke to Jeff/Hardtopguy on the phone. He answered all my questions. However, how "easy" is installing the new sockets? I believe he mentioned he sends a Scotch brand crimping tool with it and we slide the new wires in. I have never done anything like this before.

Bumpin an oldie I know, but I can't get this step to work:
"Of course that is because the socket is powering 2 lights - the parking light and the brake light. The plug WILL FIT over either the two left or the two right pins if you grind off the tab"
I grinded it down and all, but it just won't fit. I can tell it's wicked close, but nothing.

the set I bought (off a 2004) included the AP2 wiring harness... I just spliced it and used that... works 100% 
you can get the little grey plugs from Honda for like $15 and just re-wire them.
