Darkknight you have posted so many helpful things on this board in the past. But now all I see you doing is putting down anyone who is new or has ideas or opinions that are different than yours. Most of us are here to exchange ideas and learn from each others' experiences, good or bad. There is no way we can learn from each other if you keep putting people down for not realizing the greatness of you and your system. I'm sure your system is great, but not everyone has the same goals or budget as you do. If you don't want these posts here then we need a second Electronics forum.
You are supposed to be a *moderator*. Can you not see that the original post in this thread was just a question, with no judgements or ill-will until you insisted on ridiculing the mere mention of these rear speakers? What does the other moderator of this forum think of all this? As for Modifry, in all the years I have read this board I have never seen him criticize anyone. If it were me he called an a$$, I'd be looking in the mirror to see why.

Just because I'm a moderator doesn't mean I can't post my opinion. One has nothing to do with the other. I help people here all the time, weather you see it or not. I can post my opinion of the stock speakers (saying they suck) just as much as Pumped'Up (can say that their fantasic). So I really don't see your line reasoning.
As it turns out I'm not trying to please everyone here, I'm sorry your not happy with me right now, but like I said I can't please everyone, nor am I about to try.
Maybe I was harsh... but as it turns out I wasn't harsh towards anyone but the crappy speakers.
Pumped'Up and all his wisdom decided to attack my person opinion.
Either way my point view hasn't changed. The rear stock speakers suck, I'm sure that their better than nothing but like most stock systems they can't hold a candlestick to a nice aftermarket setup. But as Modify stated you might be able to change them out and fit something nicer up there but you'd be better off using a different method than speakers that close to your head. The Miata had these type of speakers years ago in the 'M' edition and those didn't sound that great either and that was their 'Premium' sound system.
If he continues to use the speakers in the roll hoop he'll have to make sure the get it tuned properly so it sounds right after the new speakers are installed.

Why is this a discussion??? For those of you who think the stock speakers are all gravy, wake up, and actually drive the car with them...not listen to them in your garage with the car on ACC. At 75mph, top down, if you can hear anything but a hiss, you have magic ears, and should work for the CIA. They are nothing more than tweeters, and not good ones at that point. THe s2000 needs POWER to hear anything. You need to amplify the sound to overcome the car noise, just like you get a turbo to overcome drag.
Im sick and tired of people coming on here, newbies no less, asking for an opinion or suggestion, and when they get one FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS a thing or two about car audio AND the s2000, you get all pissy.
We try to help you people, but instead, you have an itching to spend $400 on a pair of 10watt tweeters in a plastic enclosure (which looks like complete a$$ )
This forum is going down the tubes....stop the bullsh!t, know who you are responding to. THe person you are insulting might be the ones fixing your electrical problems at the next meet. So sit back, relax, and STFU.
John, pay them no mind....when they help the forum as much as you did, then they can talk sh!t.

"Laughable youngster.... "
That must make you feel good Darknight
either way - if you like the stock speakers all the power to you.. if you want to upgrade them take a look at some of John's posts as they are VERY helpful

I agree with everything Modifry wrote here. There is no need to get judgemental on here. The forum is here to help one another and not to insult each other. I just asked a simple question and it took 24 responses to come up with an answer. The rest were people ripping on each other. Again, I'm here because I just bought a new S2000 and am trying to get as much information about this vehicle as possible.
As for darkknight, you mentioned on another posting that you're trying to set up your own store online. In order to get customers, you need to be a little more tolerant and not so judgemental. As a member of this forum, I'm all about supporting vendors on here, but with the comments you made, I'm not so sure about the quality of customer service that will come from you. Just wanted to bring this up to your attention.

I'm going to lock this thread because RBR got the info he was looking for and this thread has gone WAY off topic with everyone, me included.
I apologize for not just answering the question. It was ment as a joke... it clearly has gone WAY off course. My fault Modify made some great points.
I've started a thread regard the subject that this thread ended with.
