200W rms enough?
Trying to keep things simple, Im trying to power my system with A 4 channel amp. The amp I have in mind is an Alpine 2x100rms (more than enough) for the fronts. Bridged 200W for the sub. (for an enclosed 10 in. sub at .6 cu/ft) Is 200 rms enough for a decent thump for a 10"? Im looking for musical base- no shaking!
Just make sure that there isn't a warning sticker on your amp about bridging. I don't know why, but some amps say that you shouldn't bridge on some 4 channel amps.
200rms is good for our cars since its so small.
I just wish the alternator was a little stronger and I want a dry cell battery. I've got a kicker kx2500.1 rated 2693 watts rms from the factory. Its on my accord, but it'll make you go deaf. I've blown a mtx thunder 9500 over a 10 month period and a cerwin vega stroker over a 6 month period.
