Angry Amp Selection, Just seeing any other options

Ok I have a 10w6v2 and some Infinity Kappa 60.7CS Components. I was thining of running a JL 500/5. Watcha think? I dont want to run 2 amps but still want enough power for the sub.

The Sub is 400 rms and the components are 95 rms

The Amp will do 250rms for sub and 100 for 2 channels and 45 for the rear channels.

Just making sure I dont really need more power then 250 for the sub, or if it will sound bad if i dont put enough power to it.

I pretty much think this will be perfect, just seeing anyone elses views, thanks.

I personally, would get a better 4 channel, but your 5 will work.

A good 4 channel (110-125wrms x 4 @ 4ohms) would be PERFECT for your setup.

Infinity, JBL, RF, Alpine and more manufacturers make 4 channels w/ 100+/channel

Issue of getting adequate SPL is not just how much the amps can push, but how sensitive the speakers are

500!? Thats a crapload. I was thinking 300 tops!

Anyway....some choices for you....

JBL PX500.4

Soundstream TRA960.4

These are both great, and IMHO, better than JL. Infinity, Alpine all have what you are looking for as well. Let me know if you want more choices.

are you running rear speakers? do you need 5 channels, or just 3?
that sub appears to be dual 4-ohm, so if you're planning on bridging
channels to power the sub, make sure the amp is 2-ohm stable when
bridged.
