2WSS-AS Comustar alarm?
Will this work with an AP2? And if the battery is disconnected will the alarm still work?

I am not the authority on this, but I am not sure if the remote start will not work without ghetto-rigging a spare key adapter in somewhere. I think the ignition immobilizer kind of kills that option, but it has been done before.
Probably not, as the alarm must have a power source to run off of.

I have the 2W900FMR on my 05. I called Compustar when I was shopping for mine and talked to the lady there for a good 10 minutes. She actually talked me out of the getting the SS (spread spectrum) saying they have been having issues with them. She said you really cant have any keys attached to it or it will cause interference (they say you can have one, but she said one will still mess with it). There was only like a $20 difference between the two thats why I called to talk to them. The final words were that the 900fmr is more reliable and that the real world range on the SS was a tad bit better, but only if the conditions are perfect.
You do have to give up your valet key and it gets hidden under the dash for the remote start. I am not sure about your battery question, but I dont think it has any back up power.

I'm a CompuSTAR dealer. It doesn't have a battery backup. You cut the power its done. But lets face it if someone really wants your car... its gone
Flatbed and 40 seconds later. Its just there to deter joy riders.

Damn John.....what are you NOT a dealer for!
Seriously, is your site up yet? Last time I heard, you were still putting it together. Any chance of a list or your companies? (Sort of a shopping list / wish list....

Wow! I didn't know you were a compustar dealer! Would it be possible for you to program my unit? On the second accessory I need a 5 second latch to run an Accusump preoiler. I already bought the DEI unit to do this though.
On another note, any idea how to wire the DEI modules for the mercury tilt and magnetic separation?
