Default 3 blink lane change

Hi, I want to modify my s2k so the lane change signal to blink 3 times.

the pcar does this and I thought it was quite convenient. Is there an easy way to mod the s2k to do this?

I tried to search but maybe used the wrong keywords.

I know that the new Chargers and a lot of BMW's and such have that, but I think its a computer module that controls that because if you tap the signal it does the 3 blink but if you push the lever till it locks then it blinks constantly. Without some kind of control module I can't think of a way to add that.

But I someone finds something let me know cuz I would like to have that too.

yes thats exactly what i'm talking about

it seems like a really easy thing to do. Basically just loop the 1blink 3 times... hmm...

anyone have ideas?

I've got some friends over at oznium.com/forum that could probably figure it out. It shouldn't be too much more than a couple relays.

You'd need a timed relay which would hold 12v for 3 seconds or so when activated by a pulse

From what I understand, the German cars have two modes....if you TAP the stalk it will blink 5 times and shut off, but if you push the stalk all the way, then it will function like a regular turn signal. If that's the case, you will need to modify our stalk to be a quad-way switch, AND a relay. Modifying it ONLY with a relay will give you just the 3 blinks and off, but if you are waiting at a light in the turning lane, the signal will go off by itself before you even made the turn.

What'd be just as useful is having both windows on full auto mode when you push and hold the switch.

anyone got a fix for that?

I do have all (driver's and passenger's) window switches on full auto up and down. I used the DEI 530T window module to do it. It works great and doesn't affect the window functions with the top button.

I was talking to one of my friends and he came up with using a relay and a capacitor to do the 3 blink but we haven't figured out the correct size capacitor. But the capacitor would hold the charge and keep the relay energized for the 3 blinks. That would be wired in parallel with the factory turn signal switch so that once you lock the turn signal in place it would continue blinking till the wheel is turned. It's probably got a bug or 2 in the idea but it may work.
