odd that they would design the alarm independently of the keyless remote like that.

thanks for answering that.

i still wonder if the keyless remote alone could have its antenna extended for better range as well. guess its just a matter of trying...

Well... I'll be a SOB...

Knew the antenna reached past the front of the seat... so pulled it forward, clipped it... stripped it 3/4"...wire nutted a 36" piece to it... and the dang thing is working 99% of the time now!!!

GrandMasterKhan... I owe you a couple of beers if our paths ever cross!!!!

Makes me want to....

i think honda reverse engineered this so the optional unit can be a piggy back, which save installation time and cost, i think.

i was looking at the horn relay on the oem keyless entry(orange btw) and trying to make it work with an aftermarket alarm "horn", as it turns out it was a constant ground. anyways, i'll give it another try next week, see if we can all add the aftermarket "beep" or "chrisp" to the oem alarm.

well, I got an AutoPage alarm from the dealer that I thought was OEM, but turns out it not.

the alarm is whack, when you press the LOCK once, it's lock. Press Lock TWICE it went to panic mode.

So there got to be some glitch or something. Sometime I press the LOCK once, then the car suddenly out of no where about 5 sec interval went into panic mode. it pisses me off. BUT the alarm is really loud though.
