welp, like the few others that want to know if you can do this with the oem keyless entry? basically, where is the antenna for the keyless entry for those that do not have oem alarm.

i cant stand that the pos keyfob works when i am standing right near it. my buddy always says it would work if you replace the battery. the f'n battery is brand new, it just sucks!!!!!! i shouldnt have to use the chin method when i am approaching the car in a parking lot. 30k piece of crap.

so anyways, the location of the antenna would be greatly appreciated.

its in the keyless entry module. basically to the left of the left knee, inside the dash. just look under, its a small box with about 16 wires coming out of it.

inside the module is a thin piece of sheet metal. thats the antenna. im sure its possible to just stick a wire on it and have it as long as possible. but from my RC days, the exact length of wire was somewhat critical. so im not sure if it will help, or maybe it doesnt care. not sure. worth a try.

its just a pain to bolt back in.

ugh, it had to be under the dash, which is such a pita for me to get to right now. the herniated disc in my lower back just cant take that kind of abuse right now. i'll have to deal for a bit longer with the craptastic range of the oem key fob

you mean the OEM keyless entry? Not the OEM alarm right? Because the OEM alarm is under the seat and tons of people had sucess by extending the antenna

The OEM keyless i dont believe has an external antenna. Its a silver box hidden behind the start button.
