The 2006-2007 models do have a little open tray area, but not useful for anything....

No one mentioned that a 6 inch sub isnt going to do much anyway, waste of time and money. If your stuck on 6's, mold 2 of them into the kick panels.

^^ Completely Agree!!!! I would personally HIGHLY recommend the AVI SL-170 6.5's Obscene bass.

i figure that a 6in sub in the cabin might give better sound quality than a 10in in the trunk.

Not really, bass frequency needs air space and distance to build. A10 in the trunk with the rear deck lid removed will sound much better than a little 6 in the cabin. Larger subs can hit deeper frequencies.
