Hello, am thinking about adding a pair of speakers behind the seat. I was just wondering if 6x9's will fit. If not what would the biggest speakers will I be able to get. Currently looking into a pair of MB Quarts.
And while I am asking questions....is it possible to attach an amp to the stock radio (04)

5.25" speakers barely fit.

you can use a line output converter to attach an amp. they take the speaker level outputs and convert it to preamp. many amps also have speaker level inputs as well, so adding an amp is easy.

Let me know when you install your rear speakers. I'm interested in installing a pair in my s2k also. I can't seem to find "just the right one" that'll will fit (without having to do any modifications).

Also, where are you purchasing your speakers from?
