AEM EMS gas mileage

AEM EMS gas mileage
I was wondering if it would be possible to recieve higher gas mileage when swapping to the AEM EMS from a stock ecu. Like anything with the AEM unit it would most likely need quiet a lot of time for the tunning side which is understandable. But when switching what are your thoughts on getting better gas mileage on an N/A car. I'm not trying to justify getting it, I am more just curious what everyone's thoughts are.

You could use the EMS to lean the car out a bit to get better milage...but it makes no sence. Here's why.
1. Running leaner means your higher engine temps which equates to your engine life decreasing
2. At best you might see 1 to 2 miles per gallon differance, which is around 20-30 miles per tank. So you are only saving yourself one gallon per fill up. Figure an average price of $2.75 per gallon, to make up for the $1500 you spent on the EMS, it'd take you 500+ tanks of gas. If it's a daily driver and you go through two tanks a week, it'd take you roughly 5 years before you saw money back in your pocket.
