I installed my new headunit this weekend and it helped the sound quality a little bit, but the speakers definatly need to be replaced. I am not really into the audio thing, I just want something that sounds decent. The headunit is a Pioneer DEH 7700MP.

I am looking for a direct fit (or as close to direct fit) speaker for my AP1. I dont want to spend more than $75-$100 (used or new), so I know I cant get anything too crazy.

If it is helpful information the headunit is a 50W max output.

i have a set of Infinity Reference series components id let go for $85 shipped if you'd like em. I dont know how much better than that you can do for that price range.

 

I bought some Pioneer Tsc1653 6 1/2 Inch Component Speakers which are OK for about $100. I had to cut the speaker baskets. I think they are 150W max., 50W nominal.
