Default after ground wire kit installed...

i have been using s2kman's sony dci unit for almost two years now,
i like it a lot but it's also PITA, as it "forgets" the code every 3 days or so.
so for two years, i reprogram it every 2 or 3 days, everytime it "forgets" the code.

now the funny thing is,

i recently installed home-made ground earth wire kit,
i know it doesn't do anything for car performance or anything,
but just for fun i put some left over wires together and made my own without wasting big money.

after that,
dci doesn't "forget" the program anymore.
it's been about a month i installed the ground wires,
and so far i didn't have to reprogram it.

i know this question sounds real stupid, but,
do you think ground wire kit did something?
or just a funny coincidence?

Did you install any of those wires to stock grounding point, or move any of the stock grounding points? If it truly solved the problem, then it sounds like the ground connection to the DCI was flakey somewhere along the way, you helped it out.

Dave, it's a different DCI.

before Modifry's there were some other setups that people used... S2kman's was one of them.

A success. My wires thread got shut off pretty hard in the under the hood section. Kinda ended up off topic. Glad to see some good results. The same results I hope to get. To just better the system not to gain HP. I checked some of the drops in the ground electrical in my S and am very dissapointed in the job Honda did. The car is an 02 with 16k miles. Always graged.
