Well i got the hard part done which was installing the foglights and mounting them up with custom brackets. I also ran the wire up to the hood.

Now to the problem. The wires that run up from the two foglights are the black ground wire and the red power wire. The kit also came with a bundle of other wire,fuse and relays for the civic which i dont think i can use.

I basically want the foglights to be on when my HID are on.

 

So far, I've noticed that there are two types of wiring. I can show you exactly how to wire it if you can some how get a snap shot of all the wires that came with your kits, or describe it a little better so I can confirm which type do you have. It can easily be wired to where you can turn it on an off manually, there should be a on/off button comes with every kit.

 

Actually, you'd be smart to figure out how to use all of those wires (correctly). Jumping the hot and the ground directly to the HIDs may well blow everything up. It ought to work such that the relay you've got gets jumped to the HID wiring (after its relay), with the power to the fogs wired, through the fog relay, to a separate fuse. That way, everything should stay happy. HPH

 

OEM or aftermarket/DEPO kit?

oh and i dont want to wire it up to the headlights i just want them to be on when the headlights are on.

i also had the lights on my 99 civic but from factory it comes wired to just plug the lower harness in once the lights are installed and the other harness goes under the dash for the fuses panel. but the s2k from what i can tell is not wired for fog lights from factory. so the kits your are ordering is it comeing with the extra plugs and wiring to make up the harness..
