Default Aftermarket Headunit Harness

Hey guys,

I had a 2000 Civic hatchback that I installed an Alpine CDA-9886 in. Does anyone know if the same pigtail harness (connected to the headunit) will work in a 2005 S2000?

Also, I'm thinking about routing my iPod cable to the mini "shelf" in front of the passenger side seat. Any cons for doing it this way? I did a little reading and it seems like if I just remove the passenger side panel next to the radio I should be able to fish the wire out. Is this correct?

Thanks!!

I checked on Crutchfield and as far as I can tell, their system is recommending the same harness for both cars. Can anyone confirm this?

I would like to know if the OEM door will still close with this unit installed.

yes, yes ,yes. you will have to use the brackets off the factory headunit, and if door hits, adjust (make holes oval) and set the radio back unit it clears.

Fantastic. Thanks

In my '06 and '09 that shelf came out with two pins and a screw and was easy to route wires to near the back of the radio. I'd put it and see how hard it really is.
