Here's my story - when I bought my AP1, the factory deck wasn't working, so I ditched it for an aftermarket headunit. However, I've recently acquired an AP2 deck for a steal, and then I also ordered the USA Spec iPod adaptor from Science of Speed (PA15-HON3). But SOS's instructions show that the supplied cable comes with both a male and female factory style connector. The male end plugs into the deck, the female end accepts the male end from the car's wiring harness, in addition to the larger multi-pin, 'main' connector off the car's wiring harness.
Now I'm actually not at home (on a road trip at the moment) and I don't have the car with me, but it occurs to me that I don't have this extra male plug off the car's wiring harness. Will it still work?

Those iPod adapters usually plug into the external CD changer port and/or satellite radio
receiver port (one and the same?). My guess is they have supplied a harness that allows you
to add the adapter and still use the port for its intended purpose, but if you aren't using
it I doubt it's a problem. But that's just a guess.
