Aftermarket stereo and dash controls
It seems really sucky that there are so many controls on the dash to the left of the driver, but if you swap the head unit, you lose them.
I installed a head unit in my girlfriend's car yesterday, and it had a standard minijack-sized input that said it was for volume control from cars that had it equipped on their steering wheel. Will this work with the controls on the s2000?
And how are the stock stereos in 04? How about 02-03? Will I be happy with them?
None of them play MP3s, right? What a joke!
What are the best options for hooking up something external, like maybe my iPhone?
Thanks a lot for your time! I look forward to being an active member of the community - I'm driving 100 miles to see a Yellow w/ Black 2004 with only 17k miles for $15k today! May buy on Tues when the banks open back up!

You don't lose the controls. Search for "Modifry DCI"
It's mentioned over and over and over and over in this forum for good reason.

Thanks guys. I actually didn't make it to the Electronics forum, or I would have seen it. I didn't have a lot of time, I had to run out and drive 120 miles to go find my new S2000. Can't wait until Wednesday!!
What you need:
1. An compatible Alpine head unit (Check website)
2. Modifry DCI
3. Modifry wiring harness
No splicing work required. You will have better controls than the factory ones (you can repeat songs, move backwards, etc.) Alpine has excellent Ipod integration. You can even have speed sensitive volume control with Modifry DCI. Congrats on your purchase.
