Default Alarm, doors & remote stopped working

So out of the blue my alarm & key fob just stops working. I've done quite a few searches but havent found any answers that describe all the problems I'm having.

3 Days ago everything was working fine. I went to the store one day, locked my car w/ the remote, and when I got back the remote wouldnt lock, unlock or open the trunk. When I first got my S I used to have this problem maybe once a month but it's been about 6 months since it happened (used to take a few minutes of button pressing before it would work) and now it's been a few days and still hasnt worked.

Problems:
-When everything was working, after keys were removed from ignition and door was opened and then closed, the alarm as automatically turned on & doors would lock after a few moments
-This doesnt happen anymore now that the remote doesnt work
-No alarm, no automatic locking etc
-I have 2 key fobs, neither work, replaced both with new batteries and still neither work (but red light does appear so obviously they're not dead)
-Read a few "remote reprogramming" threads which I followed and still the remote doesn't work
-The alarm used to sound (i think??? I don't really understand how these alarms worked, they seem to go off randomly) if I tried to open a locked door latch several times but this doesnt happen anymore.
-I don't think that the door locks themselves are dead because the trunk doesnt open either and the car doesnt beep if you try to lock it while a door or trunk is open.

Only thing I can think of is a fuse somewhere. Any help??

Thanks

Can you roll the windows and top up\down? If not, then it could be the top control module.

I would imagine its an issue with the alarm wiring. Do you have information on the alarm system?

I believe it's the oem alarm? I've never installed one and I bought the car with 5k miles on it I can't imagine that an aftermarket alarm had been installed within this time. But I haven't been around that many s2000s so I have no idea what an oem alarm is supposed to be like

Do you have a maintenance manual for S2000s? Look at the wiring diagrams and they will tell you which bixes/relays control what.
