alarm speaker not as loud as before
I have an aftermarket alarm (ungo) on my car and the alarm speaker is locate under the hood on the passenger side. Anyway, I pop my hood yesterday since I was going to change my oil but got distracted and went inside. It started to downpour (I mean very downpour) and I didn't realized that my hood was open until like 1/2 hours later. My alarm make a chirping sound when you lock and unlock but now the chirping sounds are not as loud (maybe 1/3 as loud as before).
The doors still lock and unlock but I just wanted to know whether the alarm speaker will be back to normal volume (assuming that it is very wet inside the speaker and it just take time to dry up) or is my alarm speaker is pretty much toast and it will eventually stop making any noise? I try to set the alarm off a couple of time and it was like 1/3 as loud as before too.
And should I try to take the speaker apart and dry them with maybe hair dryer?
Thanks
BTW, I always covered the alarm speaker up when I pressure wash my engine so this is the first that my alarm speaker very got wet.
